I put the contest on hold because of the economy. I will work all this year to secure the right sponsors and money. I have the location and tentative dates set up. I am shooting for $5000.00 in prize money. Will have to jump through some hoops with the city and the port authority, but I'll get that done. Having the money and location, I would think that we would get at least 25 teams (15 required) the first year.

Brian,
Thank you for the photos. I must tell you I am always impressed with what you do. It is always first class. Like them carts. Glad to hear that the new Kingsford charcoal is showing up in our area. I truly like lump but find it inconsistent when doing long cooks, due do it irregular shape and size. I am hoping this new Kingsford will help eliminate that problem. Also I think its time we start some groups on the GBBQ site, would you consider starting a coffee group?
