Hi John!
Thanks for all your help in Albany! You are awesome in getting the numbers crunched so quickly and then getting the results AND pictures posted immediately! By the time we arrived home Sunday night, we were able to view the pics and results! WOW!
You said to holler at you if we needed any help in getting the word out about our Grants Pass event - Chili Days, Sept. 12th. We are hollering "help!" Is it possible for you to post on other sites (like PNWBA & KCBS) a list of the teams and judges who are going to cook and judge at the event (if given the info timely)? From all the "chat" between cooks it appears that this info is desired at each event.
Thanks again. Darrell & Gale
John
We really want to cook this event but might need a place to park our RV as we will be coming back from an extended road trip to southern oregon. I'll talk it over with the family and let you know
Hi John,
I am going to call Jimmie Lucht at the Albany visitor center and get an update on this event today.
PS thanks for the information & photo on Spuds BBQ" Big Chill.

Good morning John,
Yes there is a way to post updates on events. Go to the calendar and click in the event that will open another window with more information about the event. When that window opens you will see a box below the general information named “Comment Wall” in that area you can add a comment, photos, links or any information you would like. Once the information is added click the “Add Comment” bottom then your information will be posted there and at the same time it will also automatically add the post on the home page in the “Latest Activity” area.

John,
I hope this helps in making your experience on the GBBQ site more enjoyable.
"How to Manage Email & Passwords Sign In on the GBBQ site With Safari for Mac"
John,
Unless member’s list there email address on there “my page” or somewhere on the site I do not have instant access to just what your email address is. OK Dawn uses Mac with Safari 3.0.4 I just went to her machine and yes it does the same thing you are having to do. Enter the address & password each time she logs in to the site. What she does is she does not log off the site so when ever she returns to the site she is already logged in. Even if she is always logged on when she closes the GBBQ site it does not show her as being online until she reopens the site. Now that this has been brought to my attention I will stay on it and see if we can work out a work around. If you can dig deeper in Safari and find anything out in the mean time please keep me posted.
Thank you for you valued input

John,
I want to get to the bottom of this. I want it to be very easy for everyone to sign into the site. What browser are you using Internet Explorer?
Question to all members is anyone else having this issue that John is having when signing in to the GBBQ site? John has to type his complete email address and password every time he wants to log in.
Remembering email & Password
I use window XP. On the sign page of GBBQ it ask me if I want it to remember me I select yes and then when I go to sign in I just have to start typing my email address and it pops up into the sign in box along with my password. With Internet Explorer under tools there is a setting “Delete Browsing History” in that box if you chose to “Clear Passwords” for saved web sites you will then have to reenter your email and password when resigning in. One more thing System Requirements
The GBBQ support Internet Explorer 6 & 7, Firefox 2 & 3 and Safari 3.0. If you're using a different browser (perhaps one provided by your internet service provider) it might not be compatible.

Good Sunday to you John,
Sure glad you are an active member of the GBBQ site.
What one did I miss? I have tried to include all the information I have at the time. To get more thorough information about an event you will need to click on the event name itself or the image and it will open up a window with more detailed information. Also when on the event page look to the right of the event list and you will see “Popular Event Types” i.e. BBQ there are 22 BBQ events, Oregon there are 9 in Oregon, Washington there are 8 listed… In the bottom of that box click on all and it will give you even more particulars. Please keep send questions and suggestions
Thank you,
Bob
John- Are you still working on an event on the Oregon coast that you mentioned at Albany last year?
