Dear BBQ Contender ,
Greetings from the Chili Days of Summer 2009 Committee,

It's that time of the year to begin organizing our BBQ/Chili/Retail Vendor participants. We are proud to announce we will be offering $10,000.00 in award prizes (as we reach a minimum of 40 participants in each BBQ and Chili category )

This years date has been confirmed and is Saturday September 12, 2009 from 11a.m. to 9p.m. including live music, cooking shows and our awards ceremony. Our location will continue to be at Riverside Park Grants Pass Oregon 97527 and will be in the Soccer Field to accommodate the larger crowd we are anticipating.

We are working diligently to offer a more attractive event to vendors and attendee's alike. We have redesigned our lay out to mix retail vendors with BBQ & Chili competitors. Moved to a larger part of Riverside Park and also opened up the event nationwide (A K.C.B.S. sanctioned event, website info below*) to attract more BBQ competitors, as well as attendee's. We hope that you will consider our efforts and join us at Chili Days 2009. Please bare with us as we update our website. It should be completed by mid June.

Good news for all of you who were on the fence about coming to cook at Chili Days, Grants Pass on the 12th of Sept!!!

The amount of meat to cook at the event has been reduced considerably which should be appealing to those of you with smaller cookers. It is: 5 chickens, 4 racks of ribs, 2 pork butts, 3 briskets.

Go to "chilidays.com" for the official entry form. This is going to be a great KCBS event right on the Rogue River. The long-range weather forecast shows sunshine and temps in the high 80's/low 90's for that weekend! We are getting a great response on the KCBS judging class on the 10th. So, come on down!
